A selection of your artworks

|
This week the Magazine asked you to create a painting from posed models, just as the works of Jack Vettriano bear a startling resemblance to images in an artists' reference book. Here, we showcase the results.
Inspired by the methods of millionaire painter Jack Vettriano, who has been accused of taking inspiration from the Illustrator's Figure Reference Manual, we set you the challenge of creating your own artwork.
We struck typical office poses - Man texting in lift, Couple at a water cooler, Man stumped by photocopier - from which we asked you to create your own Vettriano-style painting.
Details of the originals

Details of these poses can be seen on the right. The originals are in this article, which includes tips on teaching yourself to paint.
It was great fun to see the many and various interpretations you came up with. But a choice had to be made, and we narrowed the entries down to eight. You can see our favourites by clicking the "OPEN" button above.
Thanks to all who entered.
