Man appears in court on kidnap and rape charges

A man has been remanded in custody after appearing in court charged with two counts of kidnap and four of rape.

Jonathan Lee Haynes, aged 29, of Saxon Street, Northampton, appeared at Chippenham Magistrates' Court earlier on Thursday.

The alleged offences took place on 13 September 2009 and 13 March 2010.

Magistrates sitting at the court remanded Mr Haynes in custody to appear at Swindon Crown Court on Friday 9 April.
