M4 road works end a week early

Roadworks to put in a new concrete barrier on the M4 in Wiltshire have been completed a week earlier than originally planned.

An old steel barrier has been replaced between junctions 15 and 16 to improve safety and reduce the risk of cars crossing onto opposite carriageways.

The 70mph speed limit will be back in place from Sunday morning.

It is thought the work took less time than anticipated due to the mild autumn weather.
