Man, 91, injured in street attack

The attack happened in Walter Close, Swindon

A 91-year-old man was left seriously injured after being punched to the floor in Swindon.

The victim was taken to Swindon's Great Western Hospital suffering a fractured cheekbone and other injuries after the assault at about 1430 GMT on Monday.

A 25-year-old Swindon man was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and has been released on police bail.

The attack in Walter Close in the town ended when a male passer-by ran to the victim's aid.
