Man released after pensioner dies

A Salisbury man arrested after the death of a 91-year-old woman has been released on police bail.

Doris Smith was found by paramedics when they were called to the house in Netherhampton Road, Harnham, on Wednesday evening.

She was taken to Salisbury District Hospital for treatment but died on Thursday afternoon.

A post-mortem examination has been carried out but the details have not yet been released.
