Man released over child abduction

A Swindon man who was arrested on suspicion of attempted child abduction has been released without charge.

The 19-year-old has been granted police bail.

The arrest followed an allegation of attempted abduction involving a seven-year-old boy near the North Swindon Family Centre on 28 May.

Insp Deb Waters, from Wiltshire Police, said it was important for parents during the summer holidays "to stress simple safety messages to children".
