Arrest after woman raped in park

Police cordoned off the park for three hours on Wednesday evening

A man has been arrested after a 23-year-old woman was raped in a park in Swindon.

Police officers were called to Queen's Park, off Groundwell Road, just before 1900 BST on Wednesday.

The park was cordoned off for three hours while police investigated the scene and spoke to people who were in the park at the time of the incident.

A 39-year-old man from the local area has been arrested and police ask anyone with information to contact them.
