Hostel development plans approved

Plans have been approved to redevelop a hostel for the homeless in south Wiltshire.

Staff at Alabare Christian Care Centre put two years' work into planning the project for Damascus House in Salisbury.

The new Damascus House will boast improved accommodation and training facilities, as well as being a much greener facility, a spokesman said.

The charity has started work to secure the money needed for the project.
