Icelandic banks to repay council

Wiltshire Council is expecting the first repayment of the £9m invested with one of the Icelandic banks.

Administrators for Heritable Bank have said the first payment is expected at the end of July or early August.

Up to 80% of the £9m invested by the then Wiltshire County Council and North Wiltshire District Council, is expected to be repaid.

Jane Scott, spokesperson, said the council would "continue to press for full repayment".
