Missing dance cash fraud charge

A woman has appeared before magistrates in Swindon charged with £27,000 fraud after money to pay for a dance troupe's trip to America went missing.

Amanda Williams, 51, of Stoneybeck Close, Westlea, Swindon, appeared via video link to hear the charge.

No application for bail was made and Mrs Williams was remanded in custody until 7 May.

The trip involving Bobbi's Academy of Dance went ahead after the entrance fee was waived and free hotels provided.
