A woman has been charged with theft after the disappearance of money that was to be used to fund a dance troupe's trip to America.

Amanda Williams, 51, had been arrested in Weymouth, Dorset, on Friday after leaving her Swindon home.

The missing money was to pay for 14 teenage dancers to represent the UK in an international dance competition.

On Saturday Mrs Williams was remanded in custody by Swindon magistrates to appear at crown court on 9 April.
