Improvements set for play areas

Several play areas in North Wiltshire will receive 77,000 to improve play facilities and safety.

North Wiltshire District Council will direct the funds to improve various play areas in the towns of Chippenham, Corsham and Calne.

The improvements will include new play surfaces, equipment and installation of fencing and gates around play areas.

Councillor Viv Vines said the young people in North Wiltshire will benefit from the improvements.

"All of these play areas see considerable use and it is time to renew the play equipment and make sure we have safer play surfaces."
