Council to debate tax increases

Councillors are due to meet in Swindon on Monday to discuss possible council tax rises and cuts to services.

The meeting will finalise the Wiltshire town's annual budget, which is likely to see council tax rises of 3.6%.

Four libraries and the Groundwell Park and Ride are likely to be closed and the Swindon Dance group is facing a funding cut of up 75%.

The meeting takes place at the council's Euclid Street offices on Monday evening.
