Students making mark with tenner

Students from Swindon Academy are taking part in a national competition using tenners to encourage the spirit of entrepreneurship.

The Make Your Mark with a Tenner competition involves up to 20,000 young people up to the age of 19.

Participants have to repay the loan by March and are challenged to make a larger sum by investing.

The event is run by Make Your Mark and supported by the National Endowment for Science Technology and the Arts.

Property developer and entrepreneur Caroline Marsh, from Swindon, said: "At a time when so many young people need great inspiration and direction about their future job prospects, Make Your Mark with a Tenner will help to hone crucial employability skills."
