Man held on suspicion of murder

A 25-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a body was found at a property in Trowbridge.

Wiltshire Police made the discovery at about 0445 GMT.

A short time later officers made an arrest and took the suspect to Melksham police station, where he is being questioned.

A spokesman said a murder investigation had begun. Officers and forensic experts were expected to remain at the scene for some time.

The Wiltshire Police spokesman added: "A 25-year-old man from the local area remains in custody after being arrested on suspicion of murder."
