Electricity was off in two villages in Wiltshire after a hot air balloon brought down power cables.

Emergency services were called to the incident at Sleight Farm near Devizes and a safety cordon was put into place around the site.

The occupants of the balloon had managed to get out of the basket and were not hurt.

A spokesman for Southern Electric said about 100 homes in Sleight and Stert were without power.
