Runners join town's half marathon

Around 1,500 runners took to the streets of Swindon in the Wiltshire town's half marathon race.

The 13-mile (20km) race started at 1100 BST on Sunday. In addition, there was also a multi-terrain five-mile race and a two-mile fun run.

Runners were also sponsored so they could raise money for a number of charities as they raced.

Pipers Way, from Marlborough Road to the Nationwide roundabout, was closed until the race was completed.
