Refurbished library set to reopen

A refurbished branch library is due to reopen in Swindon on Monday.

The library in Cavendish Square in the Wiltshire town shut in October of 2007 for the work.

A town council spokesman said the library had increased in size by nearly a third, making room for around 1,500 new books.

"It boasts new shelving and furniture, improved lighting and self-service technology so books can be borrowed and returned more easily," he added.
