Stabbed man is in intensive care

A man is being treated in intensive care in Swindon's Great Western Hospital after being stabbed in the chest.

A police spokesman said the 42-year-old victim was attacked in the doorway of a house in Huddlestone Close in the Gorsehill area of the town.

The attack happened around midnight on Thursday 4 September.

The victim's injuries are not said to be life threatening. The attacker is said to be a man in his 20s.

Police say they currently have no further details on the attack or attacker.
