Stitches needed after dog attack

A 71-year-old woman needed hospital treatment after being bitten by a rottweiler dog.

The woman was walking along Pewsham Road in Penhill, Swindon, on Wednesday when a group of 10 to 12-year-olds walked past with the dog.

The animal then lunged at her and bit her arm leaving it bruised and requiring 12 stitches.

Wiltshire Police have appealed for witnesses or for the dog owner to contact them.
