The accident closed the motorway in both directions for several hours

A coach driver, involved in a crash on the M4 in Wiltshire on Tuesday, is still seriously ill with leg injuries at Frenchay Hospital near Bristol.

He was one of 13 people hurt in the accident near Leigh Delamere services, which also involved three lorries and four cars.

A woman passenger in one of the cars is also in Frenchay with a punctured lung, broken ribs, and a broken collarbone.
