Recognition for anti-drugs work

A Wiltshire-based drug agency worker and her team have been nominated for an award to celebrate their achievements in tackling addiction.

Victoria Downes and The Step Aside Consultancy, based in Salisbury, have been nominated for the Home Office Tackling Drugs Changing Lives Awards.

Ms Downes's manager Thalia Shannon-Eyers said: "Her passion, and energy towards her job, is legendary."

The winners will be announced later in the year at a ceremony in London.

Ms Shannon-Eyers added: "Victoria's approachable nature and compassion, coupled with her desire to assist addicts towards a better life, is phenomenal."
