Police identify bus tragedy boy

The crash happened at about 2000 BST on Thursday

Police in Wiltshire have named a six-year-old boy who died when he was hit by a double-decker bus.

Ashley Whiteway was crossing Westlea Drive in Swindon on Thursday evening when the accident happened.

Ashley and his seven-year-old friend Dean Harle stepped out from behind a parked bus into the path of the oncoming vehicle.

Dean remains in a critical condition in Frenchay hospital. Police have appealed for witnesses.
