Boy, six, hit and killed by bus

A six-year-old boy has been killed and another child seriously injured when they were hit by a double decker bus.

Police said the two children were trying to cross a road in Swindon, Wiltshire, and stepped out from behind another parked bus.

The six-year-old boy died at the scene while the other boy was taken to Frenchay Hospital in Bristol with serious head injuries.

The incident happened just before 2000 BST at Westlea Drive in the town.
