£70k for community leisure centre

A leisure centre in Wiltshire has been given £70,000 for improvements including a new climbing wall.

Calne Leisure Centre reopened its doors in January after it closed when the company running it told the council it could not afford to keep it open.

The centre was taken over by a community group and is run as an independent facility.

The climbing wall is expected to be fully operational for the start of the new school term in September.
