Health centre nearing completion

The finishing touches are being put to a new purpose-built health centre in a Wiltshire town.

The Primary Care Centre in Malmesbury will provide a GP surgery and health centre including a minor operations room and physiotherapy suites.

The redevelopment of the community hospital site is in three parts, providing health services, an 80-bed nursing home and 28 care flats.

Midwives, health visitors and podiatry clinics will also be based on the site.

David Grogan, practice manager of Gable House Surgery, Malmesbury, which will move services into the new site, said: "The new centre will give us the space to look after our patients in modern purpose-built rooms, ensuring that we can continue to deliver high-quality GP care with privacy and dignity."
