End of the line for pie factory

Friday marks the final day of production at the pork processing factory Bowyers in Wiltshire.

The closure of the plant was announced in October 2007.

Around 400 employees were told they would be made redundant and the company would be moving from its Trowbridge base to Nottingham.

The EU has set a geographical limit on the production of some of its brands, leading to the move. Some staff will stay on for about three months.
