Child critical after car accident
A seven-year-old has suffered life-threatening injuries when they were hit by a car in Swindon.

The child was walking in Drove Road in the town when the accident happened on Friday evening.

A Wiltshire Police spokesman said the child was taken to hospital. They are said to be in a critical condition.

No further details are being released by police. Anyone who witnessed the incident which happened at 1745 GMT is asked to call police.
