Town centre development continues
Modified plans to regenerate a large area of Swindon have been formally lodged with the borough council.

The £200m scheme is being undertaken by developer Modus and involves building on the current Granville Street car park off Commercial Road.

Shops bordering the car park will be flattened to make way for the scheme, as will a tower block in Temple Street.

A new Debenhams store, an underground car park, hotel and flats are all planned.

The revised plans do not include a cinema, which is now expected to be included in plans for the nearby Old College site.
