Rubber company is to close plant
About 60 jobs will be lost when a rubber company closes a mixing plant in Wiltshire.

The Avon Mixing plant in Westbury is to close from March. Formal consultation will begin with unions on Thursday.

Avon Rubber said the plant was making "unacceptable" losses, despite operational improvements and cost saving measures.

A spokesman said: "As part of the AGM it was stated that it is to close. The closure will affect 61 staff."
