Seven face hammer attack charges

Seven people have gone on trial charged in connection with a hammer attack on a schoolboy in Wiltshire.

Henry Webster, 15 at the time, suffered skull fractures during the incident on tennis courts at Ridgeway School in Wroughton, last January.

Three adults - Wasis Khan, Anjad Quazi and Nazrul Amin - and four youths aged between 15 and 16 are charged with grievous bodily harm with intent.

They are also charged with conspiracy to commit grievous bodily harm.

The jury were sworn in at Bristol Crown Court on Monday for a trial expected to last up to six weeks.
