Agreement signed for 90m scheme
A development agreement for a 90m waterside project for Trowbridge in Wiltshire has been signed.

It follows six months of negotiations between the county council, West Wiltshire district council and developer Modus.

The scheme aims to revive seven acres of land along the River Biss with the creation of leisure facilities, a new library, offices and apartments.

The councils are now awaiting a detailed planning application.

West Wiltshire councillor Michael Mounde said: "Modus has shown that it can bring big names to Trowbridge, with a Vue cinema, Bowlplex, Premier Travel Inn and others already committed to the Waterside scheme."

Jamie Bunce from Modus added: "Exchanging the development agreement is the first major step towards the Waterside scheme becoming reality."
