Man denies murdering stepfather
A man has appeared in court to deny killing his stepfather.

Michael Pedder, 46, of Willis Way, Swindon, pleaded not guilty to the murder of Brian Marsh, 69, at the victim's home in May.

Mr Pedder also denied later attacking his mother, Doreen Marsh, Bristol Crown Court heard on Monday.

Mr Marsh's body was found after police were called to his Swindon home. Judge Tom Crowther said a trial date would be fixed after reports were prepared.

Mr Pedder remains in custody at HMP Bristol.
