Youngsters may have been responsible for starting a fire which destroyed a derelict pub in Swindon.
Crews were called to the former Cock Robin pub in Cavendish Square, Park South, on Monday afternoon.
Glyn Moody, from Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service, said empty buildings were often used by children to play in.
"If only they understood the dangers within these buildings I'm sure they would think twice before entering them," he said.
"There is also a concern for firefighters having to enter these buildings to extinguish the fire," Mr Moody said.
"There are many hazards for them to overcome and is a dangerous environment to work in."
