One man has been charged with murder
A man has been charged with murder and grievous bodily harm after the body of a 69-year-old man was found in a house in Swindon earlier this week.

Michael Ernest Pedder, 46, was remanded in custody by magistrates in the town on Wednesday.

Police were called to 18 Whittington Road, Westlea, where they discovered the body of Brian Michael Marsh inside the property.

A post-mortem examination was carried out on Tuesday.

Mr Pedder will remain in custody until a preliminary hearing at Bristol Crown Court on 25 May.
