Museum's vintage truncheons taken
Seven vintage police truncheons have been stolen from Trowbridge Museum.

The theft took place on the afternoon of 11 April when a number of visitors were in the building.

The wooden truncheons are highly decorated with crowns and crests, and three had brass handles. They are also said to be highly collectable.

Each is marked with the museum code - 1978, followed by a three-digit number. Anyone with information is asked to contact Wiltshire Police.
