'Serial offender' driver assessed
A man who was due to be punished for his 48th driving offence has had his sentencing put back while he is assessed by a drug rehabilitation team.

Heroin addict Jamie Manderson, 33, from Swindon in Wiltshire, has had his case adjourned until 26 July.

Speaking outside the court his solicitor, Rob Ross, said his client was addicted to cars.

"It's the cars he is really hooked on. He just doesn't understand the words 'don't drive'," he said.
