Four released over soldier death
Private Gavin Williams, from Hengoed, Mid Glamorgan, who died at Tidworth Barracks in Wiltshire

Four servicemen who were arrested in connection with the death of a soldier have been released on police bail.

They were arrested on Monday and questioned over the sudden death of Private Gavin Williams of the Royal Welsh Regiment, in Tidworth, Wiltshire.

The four have been released without charge, pending further enquiries.

Police said this included the outcome of various forensic tests. Pte Williams, 22, of Hengoed, Caerphilly, collapsed and died on Monday.

A fifth soldier from the Royal Welsh Regiment, a captain, was released without charge on police bail on Wednesday.

The soldier's family have called for a full army inquiry into his death.

His grandfather Ralph Williams said his grandson's death had been a "waste".

It is believed Pte Williams had been taking part in a disciplinary exercise for an act of misbehaviour when he collapsed.

He died later in Salisbury District Hospital.
