160 jobs go from DVD/CD producer
A Swindon company which produces DVDs and CDs has gone into administration with the loss of 160 jobs.

Thamesdown SDC Ltd, based in Blagrove was not able to survive the current dip in consumer spending and over-capacity in the industry.

Andrew Sheridan of Baker Tilly Bristol, said: "Sadly, negotiations for the sale of the business and assets broke down.

"We were left with no alternative but to close Thamesdown SDC Ltd following our appointment as Administrators."

Mr Sheridan stressed that the Baker Tilly team was working hard to try to find a buyer for the assets.

"It is very regrettable that redundancies had to be made. We are making every effort to assist and support them through this difficult period of change," he said.
