Pensioner killed on safari trip
A 67-year-old Wiltshire woman has been killed in a road accident while on safari in South Africa.

Marjorie Moore was touring the Shamwari game reserve when the jeep she was travelling in failed to drive up a slope, rolled back and overturned.

Her husband, Richard, 76, had by chance chosen to miss the trip on Sunday to go to church instead.

From his hotel in Port Elizabeth, he said: "It's a shock. Marjorie was the organiser, I was happy to go along."

A funeral and cremation ceremony is due to be held in South Africa on Thursday.

Mr Moore is planning to scatter his wife's ashes on the Indian Ocean.

"She was a keen sea swimmer and really enjoyed the water and I know it was what she would have liked, to have her ashes scattered on the ocean," he said.

Two other people were also killed in the accident.
