Police have launched an operation to crackdown on pre-Christmas shoplifting in a Wiltshire town.
Operation Cracker will see Salisbury police officers on uniformed and plain clothes duty working together with store detectives and CCTV cameras.
The operation will run from 14 November until Christmas Eve.
Salisbury police say it follows last year's successful campaign which led to 53 arrests and the recovery of goods worth more than £3,000.
Sgt Tim Griffin from the city centre police said: "We have learned so much in recent years and shoplifters should be deterred from targeting Salisbury.
"The co-operation between ourselves, the stores and the city's CCTV cameras has led to a good results in the past and shoplifters must know we will be extra vigilant in the next few weeks".
