Youth accused of 'acts of racism'

A teenager been remanded in custody after being charged with racially-aggregated criminal damage.

The 16-year-old has also been charged with arson after religious buildings were targeted in attacks.

The youth was remanded by Swindon Youth Court on Friday. He is due to reappear on Monday morning.

A second youth, aged 17, arrested on suspicion of racially-aggravated arson and criminal damage, has been released on bail until 23 November.
