Decision due over kart track row
A long-running row over a controversial indoor go-kart track could finally be resolved on Tuesday.

Winners Karting has been operating from an aircraft hangar at RAF Wroughton since 1997, but local residents say it causes too much noise and traffic.

In the past, the firm has been granted a number of temporary planning permissions, but these have run out.

On Tuesday evening, Swindon Borough Council will have to decide whether to give it full planning permission.

The track's owner, Steve Coen says noise levels are monitored and that closure would mean Swindon losing a popular attraction.

But opponents, including the parish council and the Science Museum, which has a storage facility nearby, plan to object to the scheme on the grounds that the area is one of outstanding natural beauty.
