Woman's bid for motor race glory
A Wiltshire woman is taking to the starting grid in her challenge for the Formula Woman motor-racing championship title.

Emma Hayles, 22, from Ogbourne Maisey near Marlborough, is one of 16 finalists in the national competition.

She was chosen from 10,000 applicants and is currently in third place overall going into the final at Brands Hatch in Kent on Sunday.

Miss Hayles hopes her performance will kick-start her career in racing.
