Duo set out on Baltic challenge
Greg McBride and Paul Osborne

Two men from Bath are taking part in a race to the Baltic in a three-wheeled car.

Paul Osborne and Greg McBride are among 20 teams competing to get from London to Latvia in just two weeks.

All the teams are driving converted three-wheelers, done up in the styles of well-known TV cars.

Paul and Greg are travelling as Starsky and Hutch in an aged Reliant Robin, with a supply of pot noodles to keep them going throughout the trip.

Speaking from Germany on Day 2 of the journey, Paul said: "We've had a few problems so far. One car rolled over and there've been some breakdowns.

"We were stopped by the police at one stage because they thought Chitty Chitty Bang Bang's wings were too wide, so we had to fold them in."

The route takes them over 4,000 miles, across 12 countries and two continents.

Paul and Greg, who are also raising money for Breakthrough Breast Cancer, are no strangers to 'whacky races' - they took part in the alternative Paris to Dakar rally in a Hillman Hunter that cost just £100.
