Laser treatment for skin problems
Treatment with NLite
The treatment is like "a hot needle on the face"
Laser treatment for acne is being offered for free by a Wiltshire GP.

The NLite treatment has been pioneered in Wales and trialled in a London hospital. The cost of each session is around £30, which is being borne by Dr Peter Crouch's practice.

He hopes this will help prove the treatment's effectiveness and prompt the NHS to roll it out nationally.

Dr Crouch said: "In three to six months after treatment, people's acne gets a lot better."

He added: "There are some things that are so effective, it would be unethical to deny patients."

One patient, who did not want to be identified, added: "It is like a hot needle across your face.

"The effects of drugs I have tried soon wore off.

"You are always totally aware. Self-conscious that your face has these spots on it."
