Dog trapped in hole for 11 days
Sniper
Rescue efforts failed over Easter
A dog stuck down a hole for 11 days has still not been found.

Sniper, an eight-year-old Patterdale terrier, disappeared on Saturday 12 April near Melksham.

He was heard barking from a fox hole on a farm in the village of Whitley on Tuesday 15 April, but rescue efforts since then have failed.

Diggers and drain cameras have been unable to locate the pet, who is believed to be trapped 15 ft underground.

International rescue team Rapid UK tried and failed over the Easter weekend, when some local residents reported that they had heard barking from the hole.

On Wednesday, the RSPCA hopes to bring in thermal imaging equipment in an attempt to pinpoint Sniper's location.
