Man in court with Halifax stabbing murder

Mohammed Khalid died after being found injured in Parkinson Lane

A 39-year-old man has appeared in court charged with the murder of a man who was stabbed in West Yorkshire.

Paramedics were called to Parkinson Lane, Halifax, on Monday afternoon after Mohammed Khalid, 34, was stabbed in the chest.

Mr Khalid died on the way to hospital, West Yorkshire Police said.

Zaheer Ahmed, of Plum Street, Halifax, was remanded in custody by the town's magistrates. He is due to appear at Bradford Crown Court on Friday.
