Man charged over town stabbings

A 19-year-old man has been charged with seven counts of attempted murder following a number of stabbings in Keighley, police have said.

Raheem Nawaz, from Keighley, is due to appear before magistrates in the town on Monday after two separate incidents in which eight people were injured.

A 44-year-old woman is in hospital in a serious but stable condition, and a 24-year-old man is described as stable.

The attacks were in Victoria Road and North Street on Thursday and Friday.
