The thieves tried to a second sculpture but gave up after it was damaged

A life-size carving of a horse that was stolen from outside a house in Leeds has been found by police.

The £7,000 horse - one of a pair - was loaded into a van by thieves outside Brannan Tempest's home on Sunday.

West Yorkshire Police said it was found near Castleford and would be handed back to Mr Tempest on Friday.

Two men are being questioned about the theft. The arrests come after Mr Tempest released CCTV footage of the theft taking place.

The footage showed the thieves trying to take the second horse but they appeared to give up after it was damaged and drove off.
